Accompanying Persons

Persons accompanying delegates to IRC 2016 can register as Accompanying Persons for $175 CAD (plus 5% GST).

As an accompanying person, you will have admission to the opening ceremonies, the opening reception, a mid-congress day tour (July 20), and the evening show, including dinner, at Wanuskewin Heritage Park on July 20.

On Monday, July 18 at 9:00 AM, there will be an informal get-together over coffee at TCU Place. This will provide the opportunity to meet other accompanying persons. A representative from Tourism Saskatoon will be there to provide information on what to do in Saskatoon and area.

Things for families to do

Consider making the Congress part of an extended holiday with your family. You could stay on a holiday ranch, go fishing in northern Saskatchewan, watch prairie sunsets or spend time in Canada’s Rocky mountains (only a 7-hour drive from Saskatoon) before or after the Congress.

While in Saskatoon for the Congress, the University of Saskatchewan's Kids Camps and the City of Saskatoon's Play Programs offer various summer activities for children during the week.

Down by the South Saskatchewan River, walk the Meewasin Trail paths and visit the Potash Corp Playland. Saskatoon also has a Forestry Farm Park and Zoo with 70 animals to see from alpacas to 'Zep' the wolf.

The Tourism Saskatoon website is full of ideas for families.
